Dear Customers,

As with all businesses within the UK and across the globe, we are closely monitoring the impact that the COVID-19 is having on our team, our customers and our business.

Following the Governments message, on the 23rd of March, we recognise the part we have to play to ensure we protect the most vulnerable in society but at the same time provide an essential service to ensure that all our highly valued NHS staff, key workers and our own customers remain mobile during this challenging time. We also have a duty of care to protect our employees and ensure a safe working environment. It is for these reasons that we have decided to take the following action.

Temporary Closure of Sales Operations
We have taken the decision to close all Citygate Group showrooms to customers for the sale of new and used cars with immediate effect. We are currently contacting all our customers who have already purchased new and used vehicles, prior to the 23rd of March, to arrange, for those that require them, a convenient collection time before close of business on the 25th of March. No deliveries or collections will be arranged after that date.

Service Operations
Within the Governments announcements and instructions ‘Garages’ have been listed as ‘essential’ and are not being asked to close. Clearly as a company we need to find the balance between protecting our staff and customers but at the same time meeting our obligation as an essential service provider. In these extraordinary times for many, keeping mobile will never have been so important. Whether that be customers whose MOTs have expired, emergency service vehicles or the vehicles of key workers.

In response to this challenge our service departments will remain open to complete as much of the outstanding work as is possible up to and including Wednesday 25th March and then close. Thereafter we will keep our service facilities in Colindale and Slough, which have been strategically selected, open to ensure we can provide all essential service operations.

We are determined to do whatever we can to ensure that the vehicles of our customers and critically those key workers, are able to remain mobile and provide the essential services to the community and vulnerable individuals.
