About the role

Citygate are currently recruiting for a Senior Parts Controller to join the team at Citygate SKODA/SEAT Slough and SEAT Reading

This role will require you to professionally supervise the Parts Department the accordance with the needs of the business

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • To supervise the Parts Team

  • To manage the parts stock. Including the following;

  • Perpetual bin checks, stock checks, stock depth & width / P.N.S, negative stock, obsolescence, goods inwards, P.D.R returns, exchange returns, goods in suspense, stock adjustments (supervised), parts status reports, reverse issues report, cleansing stock file.

  • To identify and order parts

  • To process enquiries and orders in relation to NORA Trade customers

  • To professionally pass on any NORA Trade enquiries to our Trade Centre

  • To process requests / orders for parts and to communicate on lead times

  • To notify workshop control of arrival of parts for vehicles awaiting parts

  • To process invoices and credit notes

  • To supervise and carry out administrative tasks relating to stock management. Including the following;

  • To carry out Goods in suspense audits and report finds to the Aftersales manager, exchange procedures, P.D.R procedures, sign off of verified invoices / credits, banking audits, sales & profit monitoring, stock cleanses, buy backs.

  • To undertake housekeeping and other duties relating to health and safety policy, parts locating and VQM.

  • To check goods in and move parts to required locations

  • To attend meetings and training programmes as required

  • To maintain an awareness of stock security

  • To secure and label all return parts

  • To perform other duties in support of other team members as required

What we’re looking for

Ideally you will have:

  • Previous experience of working as a parts controller in a franchised motor-trade environment.
  • Competency when using basic computer programmes such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Proven excellent customer service and organisational skills.
