Snowdrop Walk to raise funds for Child Bereavement UK
We’re very proud to be supporting the annual Child Bereavement UK Snowdrop Walk again, which is being held this year at West Wycombe Park on Sunday 12th February 2017.
The Snowdrop Walk is a very special event that we have been involved with for the past 5 years and we highly recommend it as a lovely family day out. Not only is it a great way to get some fresh air whilst enjoying the beautiful sights around the West Wycombe area, but by taking part, you would be supporting a fantastic charity. The annual walk is organised in various locations throughout the country as a way to remember the babies and children who have died and to support the children who are bereaved each year.
Date: Sunday 12th February 2017
Time: 11am – 4pm with last entries at 3pm
Location: West Wycombe Park, Buckinghamshire, HP14 3AJ
Entry: £2.50 for adults £1.50 for under 16s & concessions FREE for children under 3
£1.00 for the children’s nature trail
Child Bereavement UK is there to support both the bereaved families as well as helping children that are going through bereavement themselves. Each year, the charity will also provide training to almost 8000 professionals in how to provide support to bereaved families.
Emily Leigh-Dugmore, who manages all our charity work at Citygate Automotive said:
“Child Bereavement UK is such a wonderful charity supporting the lives of any local families in their hour of need, I know everybody at Citygate Automotive Limited is proud to be supporting this event. After many years of supporting the Snowdrop Walk both financially as a company, and personally as a participant with my children I cannot stress enough how enjoyable the walk is. My children have come along to the Snowdrop walk for the past 5 years and we love it. The grounds are beautiful and the treasure hunt is such fun for all the kids. Tea and cake after you have planted your snowdrop is wonderful. It is so geared up for children and young families. So on February 12th we will be putting our wellies on and attending as usual to show our support for Child Bereavement UK.”
The park will be open for you to walk around at your own leisurely pace and additionally, there will be other activities such as a nature trail and children’s Treasure Hunt planned for the day, as well as hot food and refreshments available from the West Wycombe Village Hall. On the day and in tradition of the event, there will be snowdrops available to be buy so that you can plant them within the grounds, in memory of someone special.
Please help us to show support to this wonderful cause. You won’t be required to sign up to the event beforehand, so you can just turn up on the day! Just a reminder as well that only guide dogs and hearing dogs are permitted within West Wycombe Park.
